I have been enjoying these spiritual messages now for several years. There have been countless messages that brought inspiration, hope, reassurance, and guidance to various life situations I was facing. The messages are a treasure source of applicable wisdom founded upon the Word of God. Bettie’s messages are like: “A word(s) fitly spoken is like apples of gold in pictures of silver (Proverbs 25:11).” Many times I share these inspiration text messages with family and friends to encourage and help them look at how to consider their life matters from the perspective and guidance of God’s Word. You are in for a treat with the wisdom from her book. This book makes a wonderful gift to help others who may be struggling in life, or needs some encouragement.

Bettie and I met during a tragic time for her family. I was a program manager that employed 100s of contractors working the middle east in support of the war fighter. From time to time, I would receive notifications from the Red Cross requesting the individual return home because of a death in the immediate family. Bettie was an exception, she called me at home that night to confirm I had received the Red Cross message and to ensure that her nephew would be returning immediately to the states from Afghanistan. That telephone call lasted a couple hours as the conversation turned to our love for Christ.
At the time I was suffering from depression, stressed out from work and the consequences of my own past; being around people all day, but feeling so alone. I prayed to God to connect me with people who have a relationship with Christ. Just talking with more experienced Christians gave me hope as I grew in my walk with Christ. Only God could have used Bettie’s loved one passing to put us together because we lived 100’s of miles apart in different states and chances are, we would we have never crossed paths.
I thank God for Bettie’s obedience and the calling God has on her life that led her to write daily devotionals and felt honored she sent them to me. Her messages were timely and inspired me when I needed it most. I believe it’s her relationship with the Trinity that allows her to trust and obey and move when God speaks. She clearly knows her purpose and has been given wisdom and clarity in the Word of God.
I am thrilled to review and confirm scriptures and help in final editing of the devotionals for the first volume of “This Moment in Truth”. Whether you are a new Christian just starting your journey or have been a follower of Christ for a long time, this devotional will enhance, enlighten, and deepen your relationship. Although we have never met in person, Bettie has trusted me with her work, and I respectively give all glory to God who introduced us years ago.
